Interior design services were provided from the initial concept all the way to the final installation at Amore barber shop, Bondi Beach.

Upon arrival, you will be captivated by the oversized custom-designed AMORE neon sign which entices you into the space.

The bespoke reception counter features circular breeze blocks backlit with LED strip lighting, enhancing the depth and robustness of the concrete block. The plywood counter top and joinery used throughout the space brings a touch of warmth to the overall austere composition.

Beside the counter a Mexican cactus sits proudly in its planter - a custom shade of 1950’s lemon yellow.

The interior is enhanced by the western red cedar wall cladding with boldly-cut randomised grooves in white, creating a dynamic and visually striking effect.

Innovative design is showcased through the usage of a PVC wall cladding that resembles off-form concrete, with a textured aluminium finish, providing a smart alternative to traditional stone or timber.

The use of breeze block partition walls serves a dual purpose. Not only do they create functional spaces, but they also allow air to pass through for ventilation.

Colourful cushions in vibrant hues of yellow’s and blue add a lick of colour to the neutral palette.

Despite working within a limited budget, the design successfully combines an innovative modernist "Bondi meets Palm Springs" beachside vibe with simple clean lines and a functional, open space plan.
