Interior design services from concept to installation, Amore barber shop, Bondi Junction.

Working within a lean budget, Lick was under pressure to keep the build costs of the design down. Our vision was to create a funky, masculine space using warm wood tones balanced out with an urban industrial feel.

The choice of luminaires reflects the needs of the different spaces: track lighting for the multi-functional areas where greater flexibility is needed: suspended black tubes and the retro neutron wall light reinforce pivotal design features.

The existing red facebrick wall was finished with a clear sealer to bounce some extra light around the room.

Burnished grey concrete floors juxtaposed with Mondrian-inspired hoop pine joinery in a custom-yellow finish with routed black channels highlight the negative detail and conceals utility spaces.

Wall to wall mirrors and a dark grey-green paint colour was used for ceilings and walls to cocoon the space and create a sense of expansion.

A custom-tinted Boral blockwork reception counter and client seating bench reinforce the harder edge industrial feel.

Transcending the slim budget for this project, lick fused urban street functionality with cool comfort zone to create an authentic and inviting manscaping space.
